Brenda Pearson Nasr is an artist, photographer, author, director and essayist based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Following a period of residency in Southeastern Europe, she decided to focus her work — from short stories and expressionist paintings to high-end fashion editorials — primarily on examining identity, humanity and emotion through the unifying lens of storytelling.

Brenda's imagery has appeared in many prominent magazines such as British Vogue, Vogue México, Teen Vogue, and international editions of Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Numéro.

While living in Croatia, Brenda was briefly tutored at the studio of Emil Robert Tanay, Professor Emeritus at the University of Zagreb. She has been exhibited at various group shows, and her art graces private collections all over the world.

Also a published writer, her essays and articles have been featured across national platforms like HuffPost and AFROPUNK, and she is the creator of the photobook “Celebration of Black Beauty,” showcasing the beauty and resilience of Black womanhood.

She is currently putting the final touches on her debut novel.
